Who are KPOP Idols?

Kpop idols are groups and artists created by various entertainment organisations to create catchy Korean popular music aimed at a younger audience. Individuals in the music groups are all extremely skilled in at least one of these three areas: singing, rapping, or dancing. These idols usually start their careers in the entertainment industry as teenagers, and then put in years of hard effort in areas like singing, rapping, dancing,. Then, if they're fortunate and talented enough, they'll be recruited for an idol group towards the end of their adolescence and make their debut.

How did KPOP conquer the world?

Before K-POP, it was just like POP and other platforms, and it was exclusively popular in places like Korea, Japan, Thailand, and so on. Gangnam Style, a song, was published in 2012. That song made history and became extremely popular around the world. It smashed numerous records and was the first KPOP song to do so. PSY is the song's creator. The song had 3 billion views, making it one of the most popular and seen videos of the time.K-pop has blossomed into a full-fledged global movement over the last decade, with bands like BTS breaking records and breaking the internet. BTS has garnered over 250 awards from 359 global music award nominations, and the video for their song 'Dynamite' had more views in the first 24 hours than any other YouTube video in history. BlackPink recently starred in their own documentary, Light Up the Sky, which is available on Netflix and has gained widespread acclaim from viewers worldwide for its intimate representation of the K-pop studio system. In summary, K-pop is just getting started, and there is a lot more to come.

KPOP Boy Band BTS made history in November 2017 when they became the first K-pop group to perform at the American Music Awards, as well as when they won the 'Top Social Artist' Award at the Billboard Music Awards in the same year with their major hit "Blood, Sweat & Tears," changing the course of KPOP.BTS's chart-topping singles in the United States are significant accomplishments. The band has spent years building up to this point, slowly but steadily dominating the American music industry with one milestone after another. Since being the first South Korean band in history to have an album launch at No. 1 on the US Billboard chart in 2018, they've worked with big musicians such as the Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, and Halsey. They've performed on Good Morning America, Saturday Night Live, the New Year's Eve concerts in Times Square, and Grand Central Terminal. BTS received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2020. They've even set a few of Guinness World Records for their passionate fanbase.

How Did KPOP Influence the 'YOUTH':

KPOP has a stronghold over today's youth. Fans actively support their favourite bands by purchasing merchandise, organising fan festivals, donating to charities, and even attending entertainment agency promotional events. This instils in them a sense of belonging to a group. Since KPOP is now popular all over the world, fans interact with  people from other social groups, making them more open-minded and welcoming in their everyday lives. They discuss their points of view, talk about their own cultures, and learn about the cultures of others. They are more self-assured in expressing themselves and their culture, as well as in respecting others.'

The majority of KPOP stans denounce racism and even teach their peers. The recent Blacklivesmatter Movement has demonstrated the KPOP community's enthusiastic involvement and engagement for events that are not directly related to their field of interest. Some even went so far as to beg their heroes and agencies to lend their support to the effort. They used their social media influence to speak out against the situation of black people, putting fan feuds aside. Along with other KPOP acts BTS and Blackpink, KPOP fandom has been named in Asia's 100 most influential individuals due to their great influence on other stans globally. This demonstrates that they are conscious of cultural differences and the awareness which they bring. Artists participate in the promotion of positive ideals and step forward when necessary. Their music is used to spread love and positive energy. The Love Yourself Album era by -BTS also contributed to the worldwide increase in popularity of KPOP because it helped many fans cope with one‘s mental problems adequately and they began to love themselves the way they are. There were also a few people that came out of depression, and this album was like a gateway and they're the happiest after going through the influence.  KPOP is known for its thrilling music as well as its extremely inventive choreographies. Dancers all across the world enjoy learning and recreating their own versions of their favourite songs' moves. Music has long been a popular source of escapism, and KPOP has been lauded for being particularly good in this regard.

KPOP has contributed tremendously to the South Korean economy. Due to the increasing popularity of KPOP, fans have been extremely curious about the nations and their tourism industry . People are coming to the country as tourists, exchange students and even job seekers. Korean culture, traditions and lifestyle has been positively famed and people show love to every glimpse they can get of this wonderful country. KPOP is also being used as a device for diplomacy. There has also been a massive increase of Korean culture among the whole world where the amount of Korean restaurants, foods, and culture centers have increased with growing interest in Korean culture.People have started start up businesses by selling korean culture food items, traditional items, language classes etc due to immense obsessions and interest shown by the fans.

The journey of a KPOP idol is unquestionably difficult, as you must commit all of your teenage and young adult days to prepare to become an idol. Trainees here audition for entertainment agencies, and if chosen, they will begin their training, which will require them to practise for 10 hours every day until they are ready to debut or find a group to debut with. Though their journey after debuting is not easy, as they will have to obey all restrictions imposed by the agency, no matter how successful, they will persevere in order to achieve their goals. Many stans have been inspired by this to comprehend how little effort matters while pursuing one's objectives and goals in life; they have been inspired to work hard no matter what and not to give up easily.

KPOP idols are also shown as outgoing on camera; many idols would go to any length to make their fans happy since it offers them happiness like being on camera for any length for content creation; they also try to produce other types of content than music, such as vlogs, travels, reality shows, and so only. Every KPOP group's teamwork is especially outstanding since the idols in the group are exceptionally close to one another, which adds to their immense relationship. Seeing them and their friendship only makes us wish we had one like that! Many groups have shared their friendship tales about how some found it difficult to understand each other while others just clicked with each other in a short amount of time, this also demonstrates how unique each friendship is and also gives us excellent friendship suggestions!

KPOP idols are also one of the most influential people currently, people would want to by every product they use .Currently all luxury brands like LV,Gucci,Dior,YSL,etc are recruiting KPOP idols as their brand ambassadors and no wonder there sales have gone up.Fans are so obsessed with the idols that even the small items like pens, keychains, lip balms are also sold out recently BTS Jungkook was seen using an instant mix energy drink called ‘KOMBUCHA’ in a live and literally after 2 days it was sold out and a week later when he did another live he was complaining about how he was able to get only 2 of them even though he is JUNGKOOK. This shows how influential KPOP is these days we could see companies spending loads of dollars and also going out of their budget to recruit KPOP idols to endorse or promote their products. KPOP is not only influential in promotions but also in votes , where any platform you go to for any award regarding social or popularity is there all of them are won by KPOP acts only these days.KPOP music videos also have millions of views, KPOP also holds records like 'the most subscribed musical youtube account in the world' by Blackpink, the top 10 fastest videos to reach 100m are also owned by BTS and BLACKPINK.Anywhere where fans support is required KPOP fan's manage to top at it.KPOP fandoms are the most influential and are the largest in the world.
